Garda Plast SpA is one of Italy’s most solid company operating in the production of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) packaging for liquid food and detergent containers.

REQUIREMENT

The production process is highly energy-intensive and requires heat to be available on a continual basis, in particular, for drying PET granulates.

SOLUTION

AB’s consultants have identified the ECOMAX® 18 NGS system as the ideal trigeneration solution.

Thermal energy, in particular, is used during PET drying, which requires six to seven hours at 180°C. Refrigeration is then used to cool the preforms.
