The aviation industry is responsible for 2-3% of human-induced CO2 emissions worldwide.
In the next 30 years, passengers are expected to increase and without corrective actions this sector will be responsible for more than one fifth of the global C02 produced by humans.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is currently the most effective measure to significantly reduce carbon emissions from flights.
SAF is a so-called drop-in fuel, which means that it can be mixed with fossil jet fuel and the blended fuel does not require special infrastructure or equipment changes.
It is mainly produced from non-edible waste oils and fats and can be distributed through the centralized airport infrastructure.
This is precisely why we are proud to announce our participation in Air France and KLM’s Corporate SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) Program in 2022, a leading sustainability group for more than 15 years.
The SAF program aims to accelerate the use and production of sustainable aviation fuel, aggregating demand from Air France and KLM's corporate customers, to significantly reduce the price of sustainable fuel.
Taking impactful actions today towards a more sustainable aviation by all stakeholders is crucial for the environment, for our future, and for that of the next generation. Together we can do it.
