AB for Landfill Gas

Designing, implementing and maintaining bioenergetic initiatives makes it possible to effectively capture carbon dioxide, to reduce emissions into the atmosphere, to increase the efficiency of energy transformation plants and the usability of the energy carriers produced.

Applied to the landfill waste sector, these initiatives are a strategic solution for safe waste management, whilst at the same time obtaining low-cost raw material.

The production of biogas that feeds the AB plants takes place by means of the demolition of the complex organic substances contained in the organic fraction of the waste present in the landfill.

Biogas proves to be a precious renewable energy source in landfills, where on average one million tons of waste produces 1.7 to 2.5 million m3 of methane. The identification of the most suitable plant depends on several factors, including the structure and management of the site, the composition, compactness and humidity of the waste.
